Haley Nichols is a Greenville, SC based illustrator, painter, and magic maker. Inspired daily by beauty and light, Haley commonly includes themes of history, nature, and clouds in oil, watercolor, and digital paintings. A native of Piedmont, South Carolina, Haley is credited with many outstanding achievements, winning various local, state, and national titles for her artwork, including having her work displayed in the United States Capitol. Haley is a 2016 Visual Arts graduate of the elite South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, located in Greenville, SC. She earned a B.F.A. in Art History and Drawing from The Savannah College of Art and Design, where she received a full tuition scholarship based on excellence in her portfolio. She has also had the privilege of working as a Walt Disney World Cast Member as a part of the Disney College Program in 2018. Haley's online presence is marked by "A Technicolor Design," a name Haley coined as a young artist starting art commissions in her community in 2010. Inspired by the film coloring process of the early twentieth century, Technicolor earned its popularity for the rare and brilliant beauty of color it brought to the silver screen. Haley seeks to bring the same brilliance to the audiences which experience her work. Haley's work is rooted deeply in art history, inspired by the great paintings of the nineteenth century. She enjoys creating works evoking beauty in the sublime of nature and people - a place where magic and memory is at the center. |
